About Me
Starting my career as a classroom teacher in San Francisco in 1997, I focused on building strong relationships with my students and their families. I taught across several curriculum areas and continue to work as an administrator for an educational middle school program in the Bay Area each summer.
After seven years of teaching in public schools, I attended graduate school at SF State for my Master of Social Work After receiving my MSW in 2007, I returned to public schools as a support to students and their families in grades K-12. As a school social worker, I offered individual therapeutic and crisis counseling. I completed the licensing process in 2010.
In 2014 I have began to split my time between the Bay Area in Northern California and the Bay of Banderas in Mexico. I opened my private practice using tele-therapy and am involved in community development work in Mexico.
Although I work with a variety of clients in individual therapy, I specialize in working with adults and youth who find anxiety getting in their way. I use cognitive and behavioral strategies as well as mindfulness and breath training.
